	BOOKING CONFIRMATION this simple confirmation can be used by either bands or venues with appropriate change in details
	BAND LETTERHEAD with address etc. This letter serves to confirms that NAME OF BAND (the band) are booked to appear at : NAME OF VENUE (the venue). Performance date: ...........................................2001 between the hours of 9:00pm and 11:00pm with a suitable break (performance duration 90 mins - unless otherwise agreed). Set up time: by 7:30pm. The room will be available for set up and sound check from 5:00 pm. The fee will be £XXX.XX payable in cash immediately after the performance. A band representative will sign a receipt for this fee upon payment. (alternative: The band will provide an invoice to the manager of the venue for this amount) Special clauses: (examples) 1. A meal and drink will be provided for each band member. 2. There will be an admission charge of £X.00 at the performance room door. This will be split in the ratio 50:50 between the band and the venue and paid to the band in addition to the guaranteed fee 3. A raffle will be held with profits split 50:50 between the band and venue. The band agree to provide posters, publicity photographs and any biographical / promotional material, sent to arrive at least four weeks prior to the performance date to the venue. The venue management will fully publicise the gig with press release to national and local newspapers, magazines and journals, local radio stations, internet, and by thorough poster distribution. The venue confims that it has all necessary licences (including PRS and PPL) and insurances in place The band are all members of the Musicians Union and have full Public Liability Insurance cover. The venue management is entitled to cancel this contract for any reason, but shall pay the band the following cancellation fee: (At least 28 days notice: no fee; 14-28 days notice: 30% of fee, 8-14 days notice: 60% of fee; less than 8 days notice: 100% of fee) If you are in agreement please sign one copy of this confirmation letter and return to the band.
