  CULTURAL FOUNDATION DIRECTORS REPORT 2001 - 2002

ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING 26.02.03

I have pleasure in presenting the Annual Report, including the year ending accounts of Cultural Foundation as prepared by Michael Gale & Company, Chartered Accountants, to this Annual General meeting.

In the spirit of co-operative egalitarian endeavour we invite central contributors to participate in all General Meetings henceforth. We currently have 6 such participants. Those present will note, pursuant to clause 3 of the Company articles, that we cannot establish a full membership system until we are able to provide full employment to all participants. Participants, however have full voting rights at this meeting.

During this year the Company has produced a CD album by Branded and commissioned a new work involving a collaboration between Ray Stubbs and his Amazing One Man Blues Band and world music trio "Elephant Talk" which is planned as the soundtrack to a new Film and Video production to be distributed through broadcast channels and in DVD format.

We have assisted Blakey Music in the development and consolidation of monthly performances profiling the work of North Yorkshire and North East based bands at the Lion Inn, Blakey Ridge, and, at the Coach & Horses, Rosedale Abbey, have established regular jam sessions open to all, and initiated Friday night performances featuring music across all genres, with an emphasis on the work of local bands.

We have begun to develop links with a network of regional venues where the work of Prendo can be presented.

We have consolidated relationships with regional press, radio, and DJ's with a view to fully promote the work of this Company.

We have developed links with funding partners, primarily Ryedale District Council and Yorkshire Arts.

We have established a website available to the local, national, and international community of musicians as an on-going resource.

We have adopted the Pqasso quality assurance system, an equal opportunities policy, and a health & safety policy.

We would ask each member present to consider the account analyses presented at this meeting in order that they understand this aspect of the range of our work.

All participants in General Meetings have the right to inspect the Company Accounts, which are held at our registered office, at any time.

We ask those present to note that Directors' remuneration is currently set at £50.00 each per calendar month.

We are presenting Resolutions, and ask this meeting to endorse them.

Thank you all for attending and for your continuing valuable contributions to the work of this Company.
